Oddly typical of BFGs that get too many years under their belt. See a LOT of their Radial T/As go this route at the Mustang shop. Good tires when they're fresh, but I won't run em on the street if they're getting old, regardless of how good the treads look.

The stress marks on the sidewall are indicative of an underinflated tire. Underinflation causes flex which causes heat which causes KB.

As long as they're not terribly old(7+ years) they'll be fine. Lol, just don't be lazy, when you get off trail and back on the road, air em back up! True of any tire, but really a good idea with BFGs after they're 4yrs old.

Yeah, we had a customer that wasn't so lucky. '72 Mach1, front tire separated at highway speed. Wiped out the fender, valance, and marker lights. They driving it home from buying it.

😣

Thanks guys iam getting better and iam looking at buying another Jeep cherokee xj I feel lucky to be alive, when the Jeep started to roll it went on the roof and I hit my head when I came round I undid my seatbelt and opened the door and rolled out on to the ground but the Jeep was still rolling and basically I was ejected, the Jeep bounced over me by 12 inches and didn't touch me. There were 3 witnesses to state I landed on the ground and the Jeep bounced over me. Iam really lucky to be alive but iam upset that I destroyed my Jeep

I'm glad you are doing better, this will tell you how to decipher where and when the tires were manufactured:

Wow I had a set of 70,000 mile discoverer coopers h/t. Got replaced when the sidewall started to crack. Good thing.
