Default Is it worth the trouble??

My parents bought me a 2wd jeep Cherokee about 6 months back and in the last few months I've been wanting to sell mine and get a 4x4, I can't get it to sell so my buddy suggested I should switch it to a 4x4 myself. Im wondering if trying to switch it would be worth it or just keep tryin to sell it and get a 4x4.

If you have the skills, tools, and a bit of money I would just swap it to 4x4. At least in my opinion. Unless its like a really crappy jeep already then I would just trade it.

Easiest vehicle you could do a 4x4 swap on. If your Cherokee is nice and clean, do the swap. If it's kind of in rough shape, you would be better off replacing the 2wd for a 4wd.

It only has 140000 miles on it and was had been well kept. I think I'll try to find a Cherokee in the junkyard with all I need and then see how much it would be

See if the auto recycler would be willing to trade some things, like the transmission and front axle. They may not trade straight across, but you mat save some money though. You'll need a front axle, drive shaft, transmission, transfer case, t-case shifter and linkage, and a rear drive shaft. See if you can find an XJ with a blown motor or one that is just a rusted mess and buy it for 500 bucks, pull what you need and then have the recycler pick it up when you're done with it.
