so i got a friend who is selling his doing a 44 swap into his xj..selling his old rear end.

the axle is a 29 spline 8.25 out of a 99 with 3.55s, his xj is a 5 speed.

now has zj disc brakes like new
riddlin diff cover
new pinion seal and axle seals

just thinking about it. idk id either have to re-gear my front or pull a new one out of the junkyard. i just put in a new rear end half a year ago out of an xj with 99,000 miles on it so i dunno

he wants $350 for it. thoughts?

 

the 29 spline is pretty strong if i was there and u didnt take it i sure in the hell would, its a swap mod and a good axle....

 

yeah ive got a 29 spline in mine right now except its got 3.07 gears and a stock diff cover. im only considering it because it has 3.55s and zj brakes.

 

well it from ur buddy take wat u want off it then sell the rest, get a lil of ur money back...

 

yeah idk i think i might pass on it. i just need to armor up my jeep a little more. now that im into more crawling, im looking into diff covers and skids.

 

well damn i wish i lived closer i would pick this axle up in a heart beat

 

yeah its not really for sale yet, its still under his jeep. hes building up the D44 and then its going in. hes running 36" Iroks so idk what gears hes going too. id like to regear my axles in the future cause i wanna go to 35s.
