Went to a placed called Ravine road with some of my buddies, of course I was the only jeep there. Ravine road has a mudpit right next to this river, so the place is quite flooded, between 2.5-3 feet of mud. I go through twice, only having to crawl out the first time in 4lo(first time mudding and I let off the gas)

The third time I go through I start sinking fast, at this point Ive ripped the pit up and it starts swallowing my jeep. Pop it in 4lo and start trying to crawl only to sink deeper. Stupidly while in 4lo I put it in reverse only to freak the crap outa me when my rear tires start turning on there own. Didn't help that this idot kid screamed that I blew my t-case.

Realizing im done we break out the shovel and start digging down so I can get pulled out. At that point I realized I didnt have any tow points . So my buddy with the 95 f350 powerstoke who cranked out 600 horses on the dyno hooks up to my leaf springs, and at that point I thought I was done for. He somehow manged to gently tug me out. And here the story gets funny.

As I am still getting pulled out we see lights up ahead on the road, and next thing I know the idot kid from before screams "ITS THE COPS RUNNNNNN!" In about 20 seconds flat everybody but me and my buddy are gone. We both sit there just waiting for the so called "cop". As it turns out it was just a lost UPS truck who ended up asking us for directions. As we call everybody back the next guy deciedes to go. He is driving a brand new f250 powerstroke lifted 4 inches. He makes it through once fine. Then on the 2nd run at the same spot I got stuck he hits a tree root and blows out his tire. Turns out from all my wheel spinning I uncovered a nasty tree root that ate his tire for dinner. We spent the next hour pulling him out and then fixing his tire and making fun of him for nearly crying about the tire, lol should have seen his face when he discovered the dent he put in the door from hitting the mud pit at a bad angle( the pit is in a creasent shape).

I don't have any pics from then other then of the ford stuck, but I took pics of how covered my jeep was afterwards and they are in my album.

Sweet! I'm a REFORGER 1988 and 1990 guy, myself.

We used to love having to guard the downed helos. Brotchen brats would come up with their bikes, and offer to go to town and bring back anything you'd like.

That was actually our assembly area. We were on the top of a hill, but that was a farmer's field and very soft. We didn't know it till it thawed one day and then snowed the next. We even played some football in that field a few days before that. I think we umpired the Reforger that year, so the Cobra's weren't used as much. We spent a lot of time at the local Gasthaus...

Well...got the heep good and stuck this morn. Went on a backpacking trip in kettle moraine this weekend and the last two days we've been getting nailed by a snowstorm. Seemed every parking area along the trail was plowed but the one we parked in. gave her the ***** and made it up the trail through some big drifts. I was surprised it made it that far. No lift, no lockers, and some pos soccer-mom tires...Go Jeep!!! I was plowing snow uphill! Then I came to the frozen snowbank where the trail meets the road and that was the end of that. After a while pushing and shoveling (yeah, brought a shovel for just this reason) some nice gent in an avalanche gave me a tug. Still proud of the little jeep though. Just confirms that she needs some new shoes.

This is the worst one I've been in. The sand basically settled in around the tire and held on. Unfortunately, I knew no one else with a winch, and mine was only pulling me straight into a wall of more sand. Who would of thought such a small hole would be so damn deep.

Pretty neat tow truck, huh?

This is my worst . . . a picture story:

Trying to get on my own

I eventually got a pull from my brother-in-law out, but with some damage

Then I got stuff again due to a bad spotter

which ultimately resulted in this
