I've thrown track on a Bradley in hohenfels before 1/2 ACR 87-89. I was lucky and we walked it back on. Looks like you wasn't so lucky. Was you drivin? Drivin with night vision? only problem with night vision is it doesn't show depth.

I was the Bradley Commander, and this was a night vision "kill". It looked like just another mud puddle before we hit it. In case you remember that place, this is the moonscape right before you enter "Bravo Bowl".

BTW, I was the Scout Observer/Controller for 1/2ACR in 1989 at Hohenfels, which was my job right after this. I probably at least saw you at that time. Since then, I've worked there, twice.

I was in Alpha troop, I was a gunner till we did a field problem then I always got demoted to driver, you know as a BC that nothing is more important on a field problem then a good driver that won't kill you or break your ribs at the least. So I alway's had to go drive for the 1st Luey. Most of the time it was just me and him while everyone else was sleeping, I liked it because if we got killed he would just put another bradley out and we would get back in the game.

I have a great one!!
a friend of mine was over when the guy from next door knocked on the door asking if we had enough time to help get his boy unstuck.
sure lets go!! right?
so my buddy and I got into his truck ( 02 dodge with a cummins, he argued he had more power than I did!) and follow my neighbor to an acces road next to the local rail road tracks( shouldn't be to bad!) on the way in my buddy decided to hot dog his very heavy truck. when we got to the 4 runner with bald street tires about a 1/4 mile off the main road, we see a 2WD chevy pick up side ways and only about 1 inch in the mud ( we could almost turn it around by pushing it.). so we hooked up to him and as soon as my buddy tried to go he slid up to the doors into the small puddle burying both axles. now what you ask? well here come the engine of a train. wish I had my camera then the dodge was so stuck that it looked as if the chains were stretching to the point of snapping then he popped out. the guys were nice enough to hook up and pulled all of them out. how cool is that.

You know you're stuck when it takes a TRAIN to pull you out, jesus.

The ground was soft enough for me to fly it out a few days later.
