Default wind noise

is this normal? my 89 has the worst wind noise i ever heard at around 60mph, even worse than a Hummer H1 ive driven a few times... it comes from right in front of me on driver side, pass side seems ok.. there is no water leaks whatsoever..

any ideas? is this fixable or every XJ has this prob?

Considering the cherokee is a lunchbox on wheels... Lol mine is the same way. Seems to be worse on the drivers side but that's probably bc I usually sit on the drivers side when I drive.

I can see the sky through the gap between my driver door and roof. rear driver side door rattles and has a 1/4" gap. hatch leaks water and probably wind as well. both passenger side doors leak.
My friends and I have a saying-its an XJ, take the doors off and it has less air leaks

areodynamic as a cinder block, and a tweaked unibody may not help seal all the doors, windows, wing windows ect.

what tweaks a unibody? stare at it hard enough and it'll twist ever so slightly. chuck norris could pretzel a XJ with a glare.

as other suggested radio or new weather stripping might help.

I drive with the windows down... so...

I'm used to wind noises. It's nothing a man can't get used to.

yep, as you can see everyone agrees that a Cherokee is a box going down the road and it IS noisy. My 91 XJ has an insulated head liner, carpet with padding and new door seals all around and it is STILL noisy, just can't stop the laws of Psychics...a square box is NOT aerodynamic.
