Default will i have any problems?

I plan to buy a 4.5" lift plus a 1.5" Budget lift. My buddy has a buddy that can hook it up with cheap 35's. You guys think i will run into any problems with rubbing with a 5.5" lift?

Do they sell a 2.5 or 3" budget lift? I'd love to go higher later on.

Also how does a lift kit and budget lift work at the same time?
Yes, im a n00b
Thanks
Jeff

most BB are 1.5 to 2 inch. Its blocks or shackle in the rear and a spring spacer up front.Just go with the 6.5 lift you can run 33s or 35s with a little trimming. If you go 35s plan on upgradeing your axles to and SYE and a rear drive line.

I guess i'll have to just slowly buy everything. I'll buy the lift first and everything else and tires last.
Thanks much.
Any other idea's would be appreciated. I only want the 35's because they are only going to be 150 bucks a piece.

for around that price you can get decent 33s which is what id recomend with that much lift. then you wouldnt have to change axles, or trim. but any lift over 5 i believe( someone correct me if im wrong) and you have to adjust your drive line which means cv drive shaft and a t-case drop. it all adds up i just did this to my jeep and it isnt cheap

That is right. The cost goes up very quickly. Just get the lift height you want in a good kit. You will end up doing it all anyway.

you can fit 35's right now

just some fairly minor trimming and you will be good to go.

you will need to trim for the 35's regardless of lift height. lift doesnt make the wheel openings larger

as ktmracer says 35's regardless

Im up 4.5 and 33s with fenders cut, with the right bump stops, this was my max, I cant see going 35s unless you go up more, and cut more out of the fenders

In the rear i did the generic cut and fold like everyone with an xj does
in front i trimmed a touch more than most do and hammered back the pinch seam (like everyone does)

4" and 37's

4" and 36's

getting confused now. I think i am getting way in over my head. I'd love 35's but do not want to do all that crap so i guess they are out of the picture. If i get 33's.
