I get most of my waves back from lifted Cherokee's. Th other day was great I pulled into a 7-11 and parked next to another lifted Cherokee and we just sat there and talked about our Heep's for like an hour.

 

after i got my ranger, i sort of forget or im not paying attention to them, then after they go by i feel like an *** lol. but im starting to blend in because there are more and more mall crawler type jeeps around my town

 

I live in a small town, people are always wheelin' and dealin' so usually they're driving something diffrent every weekend. So not always do you know who is passing you. If i dont wave, i typically just swerve at them lol.

 

Only XJ owners that wave to me here are the ones I know personally.
The part of town I work in though (campus) is full of Jeep owners, and I park in the same area for work and when I go places on the south end of town. One time there were five XJs parked in a row around mine. Made my day after a crappy one at work.

 

This is a dollar store toy, and some red electrical tape. I have another one for my XJ, just need time to install.

 

I never wave at others and have had none wave at me. I will change my ways and I will wave at every jeep I see, I vow this on my jeeps honor......this will be done.

 

I still get a ton of waves here and I aways wave back. But there are very few lifted xj's here so we get like "ooooohhhh check it out" when we see another.

 

it's a wrangler thing.
if you want to get waves, buy a wrangler.

when in my xj, i only get waves from the lifted xj's that i know.

when in my tj, i get waves from every wrangler on the road. even the middle aged soccer moms in their shiny stock jk's.

 

I have to give credit to my friend that got me into jeeps. We were out in his wrangler and I see him waving to all sorts of people (didn't realize they were all jeeps), and I said, damn dude you know everybody, lol. He goes nah, it's the jeep wave, I had never heard of it before (wasn't a jeep owner at the time either). So I got a little history lesson from him that day, lol. I wave and I get about a 50/50 of wave backs.

 

i never wave or get a wave. have seen a few real nice rigs around boston however.

 

Only wave I ever got back was the day I got my jeep...

it was an old Cj7 covered in mud and big 37's

 

i like to give other rigs thumbs up, like NICE JEEP! or a wave but they hardly ever respond...

i feel rejected when i wave and the people just stair back like do we know him. im like you have a freakn lifted jeep and have no meaning being in the jeepin world.

im in NC and i wave to every jeep i see regaurless of model. and ill wave like 10-15 times a day and maybe on a good day get 2 waves back. im gonna get a custom plate on the front of my xj that has a whit hand in the middle and has a black = in it and in white letters on the left of the hand will say
"Jeep Wave"
and on the right will say
"Jeep Thing"
so will look like
Jeep Wave (open hand with = sign) Jeep Thing
