At first cause it was free but then it grew on me and I couldn't part with it if I wanted to.

 

I was lookin' for something that'd fit two car seats and fit all of my out door gear while giving me a place to sleep when "out doors" and get me to where I wanted to go. I'd had an' old CJ7 which was a BEAST off road(bone stock) and couple Grand Waganeers(too heavy but way cool trucks).
Had looked at a 4-Runner and Montero but just couldn't bring myself to buy "Jap".
The Ford and Chevy offerings were nothing more than "soccer mom" pretenders as far as going off-road for my recreations so it came down to XJ/ZJ.
I bought the XJ and can't imagine ever being with out one.
