I dont know Its another Jeep thing I guess. Jeepers are the only people I know who tell each other their rides are less superior. You dont see the Ford or Chevy guys doing it. Kind of like some of the guys on here who think they are better than others because they are modded.

 

Might also have something to do with the number of high school people that populate the forums. How often in HS did everything YOU do rock and everything else everyone else did SUCK?

i like wranglers but i can stand 50% of the tools that drive them. all my friends with them are cool and like all jeeps. i agree i love all jeeps

I like MJ's more then both, but I think that TJ's and such, have such a vast market for aftermarket parts they can be built easyer.

Keep in mind that right or wrong there are simply hundreds of wrangler owners to every one XJ owner.

Well Put, I've owned 2 Wranglers and 2 XJ's I will admit that my Wranglers have had me in situations where the SWB has made me want something longer, But I have also been in a situation where I've wished I had a SWB rig cause my Wheel base was a hindrance.

They both have their place. I am working on Buying another Wranger so I can a choose which ever one I want to wheel any day !

 

I'd trade my xj for a stock zj right now

 

I usually wheel with my buddy who has a 06 stock wrangler. My 6in lift on 33s locked can out perform his wrangler. I'm sure if he had the lifted TJ and I had a stock XJ he'd be more capable.
I prefer XJs because I like the look, I like being able to seal off my jeep, and I like storage space.

However one day the world will run out of XJs and you'll see me in a 4 door Wrangler.

 

Thats why i own a cherokee... And i always will own a cherokee or two even when i buy a JK. Jeep is Jeep man, no matter how you look at it.

 

i agree will will run out of xjs one day. So i have my eyes on a friends jk4 when she kills the motor

Out of the box, stock vs stock a Wrangler will typically be better.

I have an 87 XJ and a 98 TJ.

 

There will be at least one left... Mine.
