I chop some because I can. if you do it right you do not loss strenth. and if you ad rollbar or cage your good or better then full roof to go.
I like the look of the 2dr choped and I take the rear seat out anyway. I have lots of comanches but with a 2dr their is more room in the cab then a Mj or a 4dr. plus the seats flip ahead so you can get in behind them unlike the 4drs..
an other good reason is people can. a lot of jeeps guys want an mj but can not find one. hell alot of mj guys bob the long boxes to make the shorter..
i do not like the chops done with the liftgate choped in half and put back on. they just look unfinished and choped up.. back yard like... but thats just me.
but hay I am chopping one up now and its going great. i think I just bought another 2dr and the guy told me where their is 4 more..

X2 If I wanted a samurai I would have bought a samurai. Same with pickups. Although I was on the fence about a pickup versus an SUV. I will still never chop the top.
