In the back of my tow rig or on the trailer under the jeep. My 38" spare takes up to much room inside the back, it will fit though, and is to heavy up top and I hated it on the back.

Mine is strapped down up on top along with my Hi-Lift. I have them chained together to the rack. I'm only sitting on 3" and 31's and I haven't gotten around to taking my rear sway bar off yet, so the body roll isn't too bad. I carry tools (regular tools, chainsaws, fuel, oil and other logging tools in the back and just don't have room in the back for my spare.
A while back, I made a hitch mount tire carrier and took it off after 5-6 months. It was just in the way. I had to let it down to get into the back (which is a lot of times through the day) and when it's down, it's in the way. I'd have to take it off to get it out of the way, and that's a pain, so I leave it up on top. It's out of my way, gives me more room in the back and is there if I need it.

Mine sits in a storage unit. I don't have the room for a full sized spare. If I go wheeling far enough from my house I can just throw it on the roof rack for the day but otherwise it's not worth carrying. I'm rarely far enough I can't call someone to bring me the spare or trailer my Jeep back to work if I blow a tire but with the MT/Rs it's pretty unlikely anyway.

A 33 will fit in the stock location but you have to modify the bolt that holds it in place. I used some angle iron that moved it up a little and it worked fine. 35 will fit there but you can't put the seat back in it's slot on that side.

Think I am going with the C-Roc swing out tire mount and bumper. Looks heavy enough and should fit my purpose which has more to do with hunting than serious crawling.
