Question Where can I get a rear bumper protector?

Hello!

I have a '99 Cherokee Sport. I got rear-ended a few months ago and I had to replace my rear bumper. I am kind of OCD, and I want to keep my car in mint condition. The problem is that, a mere two days after I got the new bumper, scuffs and scratches started showing up on the top of it: my dog's claws are a killer when she jumps in and out of the trunk, and I frequently carry heavy suitcases that end up scratching the paint too.

Hence, my question. I have seen that other cars have a strip of plastic that protects the top of the bumper from this kind of scratches. I have even seen some that appear to be aftermarket (many cabs have them, for instance). Do you know of any place/website where I can find something similar for my Cherokee?

Thanks much!

You can get the stuff that is rough on one side and has a peel off backing. It is available at most boating supply stores. I can't recall the name of it but it is used to give traction when stepping on the deck of a boat.

Grip tape. same stuff used on skate boards. It's kind of like sand paper with glue on the back.

Very interesting product. I have something similar for my phone and it works great. I didn't know they made it for cars too.

go to a local skateshop, look for the kids with skinny jeans and over sized shirts and hoodys, it should cost 5 bucks for a sheet about 10inchs wide by 35-40inchs long,
