I was wondering what everyone does for PM before and after they go wheeling??
I used to just check fluids and tire pressure, then ride hard, hose off and put away wet
Then recently I was investigating an odd jeep smell and found a lot of sand and gunk in my drums that had all but seized up the one side. I am thinking a little more maintence is in order especially if I am in mud over the axles

I usually just pop the fill plugs off and look in there. I can tell if it got dirty inside.
Plus I aways hose off every inch of the rigged till water comes off it clean.

if your in mud ( tend to stay away after rebuilding my breaks) spray the crap out of the breaks and you will see dirt and everything else you went threw in there. thats number one rule along with all moving parts. mud will destroy your breaks and is kinda costly when you could use that money for an upgrade.

As i get a little more time in the seat I am finding that mud and holes are hell on equipment. Over the summer I got a small rock between a pad and the rotor, it gouged a nice groove and cracked my pad in half. Of course that got me a new set of front brakes. This last trip really gunked up the rears
The problem is every time I see a big mud hole I get excited like a teenager on prom night and stomp the skinny pedal
If you are changing your diff fluid after every trip, are you running lube lockers? how many times can you reuse them before you need a new one

I don't ANYONE that changes diff fluid after EVERY trip. That'd get stupid expensive........and wastefull. Just use/inspect the axle seals and make sure your diff vent hoses are routed as high as possible on the truck.
If you're not leaking from a seal, then it's doing its job in keeping crap out/in.
Running front outter axle seals(by Alloy USA) is also a good investement, and under 80$.

I am liking the idea of the front outer axle seals. it would be nice to keep **** outta the axle. I have a d35 out back, so that will go when it explodes, but I might wanna keep my 30 for a while
