Wheeling Doorless
Question. How bad for your XJ is it to wheel with no doors and no reinforcement (cage)? Short of rock crawling do you really risk damaging the chassis if your not flexing that much? Also has anyone found or made soft style doors for running doorless? Like the zip on kind for Wronglers?

from what ive experienced their are no issues ive wheeled mine pretty hard a few time with the doors off and no problems or tacoing think of it this way go flex your jeep out and try to open the doors the will open than try to open the hatch you cant do it the hatch is what reinforces the unibody

Dead wrong? I have personally experienced stress lines turning into cracks from running doorless. As well as personal experience, I've read much more supporting information on the hatch and doors providing support than not. I was simply letting the op know one of the consequences of going doorless. I didn't say his jeep would fold in half if he went doorless. Just making him aware that over time it could cause some damage. Get your **** right before you call somebody out next time.
Do us all a favor. Jump into your jeep with your know it all attitude and go flex your jeep somewhere. Try to open your doors or hatch. Then eat your words.
I wouldn't post something to help another member if I didn't have personal experience and know for sure that it's accurate information.

It seems like the majority of you are saying doorless is fine for most usual wheeling. Looks like the doors are coming off! Has anyone found or made soft doors like the zip on ones for Wronglers?
