Default What's it worth?

I wanted to put the big block into this thing but I'm thinking twice about everything and have a change of heart and think I just want to get rid of it. As I said in my intro, I'm not much of a Jeep guy and this just isn't me.

1991 Jeep Cherokee:
Around 180,000 miles
Stock front axle
Ford 8.8 rear locked full time
New 35x12.5 R15's
Fenders neatly trimmed
6.5" Rough Country Lift (coils and full leaf packs, no add-a-leaf, blocks, or spacers)
15-20 gallon air tank (not fully set up and doesn't re-compress air)
Custom front winch bumper with (I believe) a 9,500lb Mile Marker winch
Custom rear bumper
Custom rocker guards/rock sliders
CB
Off-road Jack (the one of the roof)
Poly fuel tank w/ foam--relocated to the trunk
The entire underside of the floorboards is painted with POR-15.
Floor boards are patched with sheet metal and rivets here and there. No carpet, the floor is rhino-lined. The seats have seen better days.
The brake pedal is spongy feeling because it needs a rear disc style proportioning valve.
It needs fender flares to be driven on the road.

I started doing some body work today to a few places; a patch above the gas door, the rockers, and small surface bubbles here and there. When I'm done the average buyer will never be able to know where I did body work.

What's it worth as it sits (if I am to do the body work first and just prime those areas with black)? And what would it be worth if I took the extra step and repainted the vehicle?

its worth whatever someone is willing to pay.. its hard to sell a modded Jeep in this market... but I can tell you it will be worth more with a good inspection and new windshield... you would probably get the most money parting it out...

I planned on getting a new windshield... I could get a sticker but the problem is I'd have to register and insure it first and I don't want to do that.
Their is so much money into this thing; you don't think I could get $2500-3000 for it? I have no idea what it's worth but if I can't get that I'd rather just keep it.
I mean between tires and lift alone it's 2 grand. Now add the winch and it's about $2,800 between those three things alone.

I would think 3500-4000 would be a good place to start.

The biggest kick in the ***** is it wasn't wheeled much. It's been to Paragon & Rausch Creek 2-3 times, crawled a little bit in the backyard (we actually built a course since my dad is an excavator) and it was used to run over my old demo derby car.
I guess their is no way to convince any potential buyers of that though

Yes I think that would be a fare place to start and just work down.
I think there is a decent groupe of people out there that would rather
buy one already modded do to a lack of tools, skills, or place to work, ect.
or lack of funds to pay some one to do so. Thats just my thought.

If I had the money to spend and wasnt on the other side of the
contry I would probably make an offer good luck with the sale.

Paint the green stuff black, you may get a little more for it. Any time I see parts of a vehicle painted with weird contrasting colors like that, it just screams "I was built by a punk kid", or "Look at me! I crave attention!", or "I'm a ricer at heart and the loud color adds 40 horsepower!".

All the green things were parts that were fabbed in my garage. I plan on painting everything black.

Well before I get rid of it I am doing all the body work and painting the entire thing black (or at least attempting to do the roll on rustoleum paint job). I'll spray the bumpers and rock sliders black as well.
Need to practice my body work anyway and learning to do the roll-on paint job is always useful. I'm only working on the weekends until April, so it gives me plenty of time to mess around with it.
