Whats it worth
Ive got a 99 cherokee sport with 200k+ miles on it. It's got a salvage title and needs a key switch to get it going. Runs good with no real problems. Thinking about selling it but not sure what to start with for asking price. No body damage. New tires. 2" hockey lift. Price it for me.

The value of a vehicle is what a buyer will pay, and that can often be quite different than what the seller feels it is worth. With that salvage title, it won't be worth much. Especially because you have to do some ghetto stuff to start it. That will be pretty embarrassing to show any prospects.

With the salvage title and funky starting switch, whoever is going to buy it will likely be buying it for a dedicated trail rig/toy, or for parts if the body really is "damage free."
I'd say $500 on the high end, but it really depends on where you're located.

Talk of value is meaningless without knowing why it has a salvage title. Vehicles get a salvage title when insurance totals them out as a result of damage. What happened to it?

I never said you had to do ghetto stuff to start it. It won't start like it is. Some idiots tried to use a screwdriver to start it and steal it. Just needs a new switch. I understand the whole buying/selling process. Just looking for what something like this is going for since I thought some of you guys may be more knowledgeable than me on it. Never mind though. I see we have some wise guys in the house.

What are you going to tell a prospect when they see that salvage title and the fact that the ignition switch has been jimmied with a screwdriver?
Who is the wise guy here? The prospects will know that it is you.
Good luck with your sale.

Wait, this is a serious thread. Nah, OP has to be a drunk troll looking to waste time. HFS and christ on a cracker. Where is that meme when i need it lol.
You asked what it was worth, scrap value is about $230, so if you got $350 for it you are doing all right.
This is by no means the type of vehicle a prudent person would purchase for a dependable daily driver. One would buy it to part out or or cut it up as an off road buggy.
