Default A what's it worth ?

Just looking for a ballpark. Don't have a lot of info yet. Mainly thinking of buying for suspension parts (don't know specifics) and wheels/tires (needs one of each)..

1999 XJ

What would you pay for this. Motor/trans/case/axles, etc still good.

Thanks!

Parts XJs go for about 500 here no matter what is in them. Most are easily talked down. Scrap yard would only give them/you a couple hundred.

Engine and such is only valuable when its out haha.

If all those items were if fact good I would give at least $500 if not more for it just because I have a 99 also and some things like engine are "99" only. A lot of desirable parts have been stripped already, is the interior complete?

He is keeping the aftermarket rear taillights, aftermarket front seats. No others have been stripped but several have damage as you can see.

I figured the wheels/tires, suspension/springs, etc was worth at least $500 or more.

$500 tops if it has an 8.25. With that amount of damage I would not trust any suspension parts on the drivers side, ie control arm, track bar(coil spring might be fine). Also take a very close look at the Dana 30 in the front. Could be slightly tweaked after a whack like that. Control arm mounts are probably pretty twisted.

Dang you guys are cheaper than me. Haha. I figured the wheels, tires, lift kit, front/rear axles, and engine/trans/transfer case would make it worth more than $500.

BTW, will the lift kit off a 1999 fit a 1988? Shocks, springs (front coils and rear leafs), etc.

I would have to agree. Looks like it was a pretty hard crunch, I'd be concerned with things being bent, cracked, etc.

You have no idea what's wrong with it. Hell, I've seen plenty of running and driving cars that were bought for $500.

And yes. It will fit

Whatever stopped it, stopped it pretty hard. That usually results in everything getting trashed. For instance how much value would you put on a car stereo after someone picked it up and threw it down on concrete.

At least that's the way I look at it.
