Went and looked at a Dakota today and for ****s and giggles asked the guy what he would give me for my XJ. Reason being he said he would like to own one like mine. Couldnt help but laugh when he said $500. Hell I have more then that in just the tires alone! So what do yall think my XJ is really worth? Is an 89 4.0l 2dr 4x4 new floors radiator tstat plugs wire dizzy cap and rotor button brand new sound system with two 10s new tow hooks with unibody tie in brackets new Hella off road lights. Few dings and scratches here and there but its an XJ so its to be expected.

Jeep runs amazing paint it pealing in the usual places such as the hood and roof. Interior is in decent shape surprisingly lol. I know the XJ is getting old but felt a lil insulted with the offer the guy gave me.

you also have to consider...trade-in value is always much less than private sale value. i wouldn't take it as an insult, it's just business mang.

either way the agreed on sales price would be credited toward your purchase. and he is a car salesman. he NEVER buys a vehicle, any vehicle, unless it's cheap.
