I keep this one in my arm rest. The serrated bottom makes a great tool for quick wire splicing.

I have a cheap machete under the back seat. When its sharp you can cut through down trees and stuff very fast. A chain saw can't fit under the seat.

I carry a Leatherman, and have an axe mounted in my rig along with a D handle shovel.
They handle everything I've ever ran into on the trail.

I like to keep a couple crkt knives around for all purpose things and even as an edc. They are relatively well made, come with a decently sharp factory blade and can be found for cheap prices online.

Of course I recommend spyderco all the way for the best edc's

Apparently I'm the boring one of the bunch, then again I have yet to hit the trails in my XJ, having just gotten it a bit over a month ago.

My glove box has a rubber handled Buck folder with about a "4 blade, and my toolbox/emergency kit has a box cutter with extra blades and a folding entrenching tool.

Those should be mort than enough for anything I find in town. Once I start trail riding there will be more of a need for different tools, and the kit will be repacked to match.

I just picked up the SOG Fasthawk for some Tomahawk practice.

Great little 'hawk for under $30!
