KBB is about $6000, I would say $4000....no more than that. I looked for about three mounths and found a 01 with 172K I payed $3700 but the guy was the original owner and had all maint records..... The jeep looks new. I stopped at tons of used car lots, one day I looked at ten XJ's, one clown wanted $9000 and would not budge on the price. most places were east side, 23 or 24 mile and whatever. most of the jeeps were rusted to the ground or crashed and had salvage titles....but they still wanted $5500.

Good luck, Highland area you can find a good Xj in almost any direction.

That sounds good, not many around here, mostly the older ones around that range.

for a newer one around my area with that kinda milage it would sell around 5000 to 7000 k at the dealer depending on the shape it is in. but private party could be around 3000 grand or so. keep looking there are better deals but you have to look to find them

Just paid $4000 for a loaded 00 Sport with one small dent in the rear bumper. Almost perfect paint and a spotless interior. Almost new Michelins and the only noticeable issue at the time of purchase was the typical valve cover gasket leak and the passenger door controls not working.

I'm looking at the newer models because of their interior, I love the 97+ interior, I can care less of the exterior. I'm looking at a car auction and there's a 99 with 135k miles only little scratches and I'm wanting to bid on it so thats why I'm trying to guesstimate a price. Thanks y'all for the responses, +1 for cherokee forum people

i spent 3 or 4 months lookin at 97+ models, ended up with a 96, just because anything around 99+ was a lliitttttllee out of my price range (college kid) unless they were total crap. mines a 96 country with 141k, i got it for $2500, which is exactly how much i sold my old car for, so i didnt have to try to save up, and more money for a lift and other fun stuff. but if your saying a 97-00 ish with 150+ i dont think i would pay much more than $3500-$4000. a friend of mine has a 2001 sport with around 115k she was going to sell to me for $3000 but she has to wait til nov-dec to get rid of it, and i had to get something before i left for school, so i ended up with my country. but things to take into consideration are how many owners its had, how clean it is, how well it was taken care of, blah blah blah. like other people said, you could prolly find a reallllly nice 2001 with under 100k, one owner, super nice askin around $6000, or a 98 with 212k thats got a good amount of rust for $3000. theres a lot of them out there so it varies quite a bit. just my two cents tho. hopefully i can still buy that one my friends got in november tho, that'd be freakin sweet!
