don't be a *****, that won't get you anywhere but a botched job. be nice, and he will try to help you out quicker.

then once it's done, don't recommend him or go back for anything. unless he does an outstanding job in the end.

a good mechanic for cheap is hard to find these days. seems they're all out to rip you off.
While this is true, the mechanic should have said exactly what part it was he needed to order. That's not the right way to run a business at all.

well now hes had my jeep for almost 2 months and he told me today he ways $2185.00 dollars total. the guy is a complete idiot after i get my jeep back im honestly gonna kick his a$$. theres no way im going to pay him $2185 and i told him i dont have that kind of money he did all this "work" to my jeep with out asking me before. The agreed on price was 1300 why in the hell would you go anywhere above that price. Im going to tell him to take that engine out and give me my 1000 dollars back and ill trailer my jeep home and do it myself. im going to post his information here and hopefully none of you guys will run into him.

the worst part is im renting a car to go to my family reunion in unstate florida, i asked him if he would help me out with the $325 bucks i have to spend on a rental but i really doubt he will.

If he didn't call you and tell you what he was doing and ordering for your jeep then you don't have to pay him. Tell him you're gonna call a lawyer if he doesn't take the 1300.

He took way too long, and the price he wants now is almost twice the agreed upon price. Don't take this guys ****, make him tell you exactly what is was that he did. It's illegal to work on someone's car without their permission first. He MUST call you to tell you what your vehicle needs and how much that will add to the price, if you say no he can't touch it. If he doesn't call you then he's just screwing himself and you don't have to pay for that ****.

good luck with this. tough to hear that someone is taking so long. I hate waiting esp[ecially when someone tells you it will be done then keeps prolonging it.

like the posts said above, don't take any **** from him. If he wont give you the agreed price, walk with the jeep.

Good luck, Hope it works.

Oh and I have been to Jupiter Florida. Hotttt there

im going to end up paying him 1700. we argued back in forth while i was there and we agreed on 1700. i have all the recepts on the parts he put on, new motor mounts, harmonic balancer, pistons, rings, all new hoses, oil pump, sensors, and he cleaned my intake manifold and throttlebody.
and she was sounding great. i didnt get to drive it or anything, just heard it run. he says hes going to break it in and do a compression test
lol yeah its been blazing here in fl the past few weeks.

well i got my jeep back 3 days ago.
i was in shock the way he let me drive away with the truck.
the transmission was missing bolts, he broke my electric fan, and a fan shroud. none of the grounds were connected, when i was starting it the ground strap would almost catch on fire. he cut my dust cover in half for some reason. he cut a 4 in hole in my firewall so he could take the head off without taking the engine out. he charged me 30 sum dollars for coolant and he put water in. the engine barely runs, my battery cant turn the engine over because it has so much compression. he replaced my tranny seal and didn't fill it back up with fluid.

i went to his shop and he had the jeep hidden behind a fence so i would go there and take it back, he kept implying that i rushed him and that he didn't have enough time, but i gave him from 4/16 to 8/3. i was going nuts when i seen it i couldn't believe the hole in the firewall. it sounded terrible and was knocking, but i needed to get it out of his shop. i tried to drive it home and i got about 10 miles and it died on i95 i went and picked it up from the side of the road yesterday. when ig to it home and saw all that was wrong i called him and told him all of this. and he wanted me to bring at back on my dime for him to take another 4 months to fix it.

im going to take him to court for the 1600 and possiblyfor the entire truck because he butchered it. now im looking for a used engine to throw in it for now until i get the money.

How did you make payment?

Credit Card?... dispute the charges.

Check.. put a stop on it if not too late.

Cash.. file a small claims suit.

Take a ton of pics showing everything missing, butchered or on the bill and not included.
