What would you do.
I bought a 2000 Cherokee sport about three weeks ago. I bought it As is no warranty. That was fine and i declined the extended warranty. The jeep is in great shape, runs great, and no rust. Today I stopped by my brothers to show him the Jeep. When I bought it I did notice some of the A/C lines and wires were duct taped together. The A/C was not working. After looking at my brothers we noticed there was no A/C compressor on mine. The dealer had advertised the Jeep as having A/C both in the printed ad and the online ad. It is also listed on the dealer window sticker. I know I bought it "AS IS" and I'm fine with that. My question is even thou I bought it as is I kind of feel that if it is advertised as having A/C it should at least have the A/C equipment installed. What do you guys think. Is it worth my time going back to the dealer to complain?

They don't have to do anything being "as is", but it would be worth a call. They may want to make good on it, but what is the worse that could happen, they just say no?

You can try. But from the looks of it you're kind of beat. With these type of sales it's up to you the buyer to make sure everything is there, and working to your satisfaction before signing on the dotted line. But like I said it doesn't hurt in trying, the dealer may try helping you out. Was it a Jeep dealer (or at least one of the Chrysler family)?

I'd tell them that you advertised it as having AC but as is. Well If I sell you a Table and chairs set as is and then you realize i didnt give you a table wouldnt you be pissed?
Here in Ontario they're not allowed to do that even if its sold as is, anything they list has to be included. No warranty on said components are required but components must be there.
