What Rims???
I have a 99xj, the purple color (amathyst) and am going to put on 32's I believe. I think I need about 4" back spacing. I like the soft 8's but would like to find a silver/gray wheel as I am not sure what the black would look like on that color. Are there any other stock rims that are an option to use that would give me better backspacing to prevent rubbing where I could maybe score some from the JY?
black rims looks great in all colors, even light green, electric blue and that colors.
Stock rims have not so much backspacing.
you should try soft 8´s in black, if you dont like them paint-them gray

If that paintjob is in really good condish, you might consider chrome to go with it?

Paint is not perfect, some dings and such, but that may still look good. Thank for the link!

I think the only factory jeep rim that has a larger backspacing is the 5 spoke "dish" alloys from ZJ's. But yes, black will go with "purple" I had a 96 XJ in lapis blue... to most it was purple, and I had the stock steel 5 spokes painted black. It set the look of the whole truck. And any cragar rim should work. Soft 8's (397 series), or "D" window's (342 series), or even the nomads (wagon wheels as they're called up here) look nice on an XJ. Both the soft 8's and "D" windows's come in black, the nomads are available in chrome or white. And at around 40-50 bucks a rim, you can afford some paint and sandpaper if you don't like the finish.
