Default What kind of tires?

i am thinkinng of getting a set of BFG Mud Terrains. 33 inch. on 15x8 wheels. feedback on them? I am not planning on doing heavy wheeling, just a few light trails, but mostly on road. However, I do not want just an all terrain tire. I would like a mud terrain that is fairly priced and semi rugged for on raod and trails. any ideas? i got about a 1000 to spend. I was thinking of a tire and wheel package from National Tire and Wheel. so prob more around 1300 max. Let me know! than ks!

I'm running the mastercraft courser MTs in a 35/12.5-15 on mine. Love them so far on street and mud. Also at 200 a tire I feel they were a fair price. Time will only tell though ive only been running them for about 1k miles or so, no noticeable tread wear issues yet.

Ya if your looking to save money, just get a set of treadwrights and 16" wheels wont find a cheaper package and on top of that they are real good tires on or off road.

I run BFG Mud Terrain K2 35x12.5x15s. I like them a lot. Best price I found was NTW website. Store did match the price, but only after I questioned them. Got them for < $190/tire.

Crap tire. Loud, wears fast on the road, not very strong side walls. You can get a much better tire for cheeper if buying new.

Were you talking about KM2's? Treadwrights? Or Dakota MT's? I had a set of KM2's and was very pleased on and off road with them. Heard good things about the other two and I'm thinking about getting the Treadwright MT/R coppies. Only problem is they're on 5 week backorder

I've had the KM2s on the XJ for around 16 months now, and love them. They are great on road, excellent in mud, and great in snow. The only place I haven't been impressed was on ice. I don't think they did that bad compared to an all terrain tire, but they definitely weren't an ice compound. So far, wear has been very good as well.
