I find myself removing lots of annoying additions to the cherokee. The number one thing that I leave off is the awkward spare tire mount that does nothing except make it more difficult to mount the tire. I also tend to leave some screws out of the rim panels. I have tried going flareless but decided it wasnt worth the possible ticket. As of right now I also have no sunvisors and find that it gives me just a little bit better front visibility because of my height. If I had a center overhead console I would have taken it out for vision. Same goes for the speaker bar.

Why would you guys take out the spare tire? What if you have a blowout that cannot be repaired on the road? Even if you have AAA, you have to wait for them to get there. Having a spare tire is just peace of mind.
If you have a stock Jeep, you can fit a full-size spare up to 235 in the rear mounting location in the cargo area. It takes up some room, but not that much. How often do you really need the ENTIRE rear cargo area anyway?

Even though my spare is a 215/15, And I have 235/15 on. I already have used it once, to limp to a tire shop. I was more surprised, It had air in it. First one to use it in 19 years. Extremely weather checked. Still better that going without one!

Golf clubs don't fit with the spare in. I go enough to the golf course to leave the spare out

I am going to rip the plastic thing off the bottom of my front bumper too. Also is there going to be any problems with removing the plastic in the wheel wells i.e. future rust problems.
