Don't know of anyone that is running one but it seems like a good deal. If you request a catalog from them it will come with a code you use for extra % off on your order. Looks like it is a good winch and northern is a big name.

I wouldn't get it...seems liable to break when you need it most. I'd get either a warn or a milemarker winch. They aren't the big boys in the winch business for no reason...they know what they're doing and have a reputation for building high quality products

My superwinch drags around a superduty like nothing was on it. I wouldnt say warn and milemarker are the best, just paying for the name there, not quality, all mad in the same shops with the same material

I'm not saying Warn and milemarker are the best, but they have a reputation for making good stuff. They just came to mind first. Superwinch is good stuff too...I was just trying to make a point

Whereas I do see where your coming from, I think that for the price you could buy three of the cheapos or one warn. I would buy three

not alot of people know it but....Tabor winches are made by WARN. have all WARN internals. easy to get parts for and you know they have a good rep.

buy Tabor instead of that off brand....at least you know you can get parts.

I had a Mile Marker 9,000# just quit on me in a light pull. Apparently it is common for this winch. It is sitting on the floor of my shop now. I went to a Warn instead.

I wouldnt do it.. you can buy a smittybuilt 8K for $299. Theres alot of people around my way that have been buying them, heard they dont drag down on a pull, only noisey. I wouldnt care if it sounded like a twisted up 2-stroke as long as it pulls me out with no problem or dragging down.
