Same here, I have bought/sold/parted since 1975.

eddyt, I couldn't have said it better myself. The subject of "worth" and "value" come up a lot here and the simple fact is is that none of us is in a position to say what something should be "worth" to another or how much they should "value" something. It's absurd since as individuals we all make subjective valuations thousands of times a day and vehicles are no different than any other product and we don't turn to others to ask their input.

I believe consumers get confused over these terms and KBB, etc., which just show consumer price averages. KBB, etc., do not and cannot take the subjectivity of valuation into account.

If you like it, buy it. It's your money, not mine. And as a rule of thumb I never give someone what they're asking.
