Default Chrome instead of fender flares?

I've looked for pictures of XJ's with chrome trim pieces instead of the fender flares. I've seen them with no flares but never with chrome trim.

Like the old toyotas pickups and forerunners or blazers. Any done this and is there any pictures? I'm just curious as to how it would look.

I'm talking about this.

I don't think that was an option on the xj. Even the loaded cherokees just had paint matching fenders not chrome. The bumpers did come chrome though. If you see an xj with no fenders they were removed at some point and trimmed because you have to cut the lip so that there are no holes showing. Personally I hate chrome.

Yeah I know the fenders would have been removed. But I think it would look good to put those little chrome trim pieces so you can't see the sharp metal edges.

IMHO

Chrome belongs on show cars, hot rods and the like. Jeeps are more down-to-earth, bling like that just isn't cricket...

I like chrome. It's shiny. Speaks to my inner ferret. LOL

That said, it looks good in certain applications, but to me, a Jeep just isn't one of them. Just my dual Lincolns.
