What do you carry when on the trails
What all do you guys bring with you when you go out on trails or in the woods etc? What extra parts, tools, emergency equip etc? Trying to get a good idea of the basics and go from there.

Seriously though, basic recovery gear, hand tools, spare u joints and fluids, hose clamps and extra hoses, serpentine belt, fuses, etc, etc....take what you can. Go with other people. Chances are they may have something you've forgotten. It will depend on you as well as to how hard you wheel, how reliable is your Jeep, i.e., do you have electrical issues? Probably good to take some spare wire and electrical repair tools and supplies if so, things of that nature. Be smart and plan ahead.

Almost forgot.. and this...
Trying to think of a few things that I learned the hard way to have and some I was glad I did...
A pitman arm/pulley puller, pickle fork, bailing wire, "multiple" vice grips, starting fluid and valve core puller with an EXTRA valve core or two, cheap screw on torch head for propane bottles(SNOW USE), spare 4 feet of heater hose, hose clamps, and several cable clamps for whatever thickness of cable you've got on your winch, headlamp, and my favorite.. a tarp for crawling around in whatever mess ya got into.. mud, snow...
Just a few that may get overlooked.

To some it's prolly over kill depending how close to home or the trailer you are. We're usually a ways up in the mtns... but most importantly it's nice to have stuff that someone else might need.. nothin ruins a weekend more than someone breaking in the first 15 min and not having what you need to deal with it... then it ruins your weekend... unless you're the d-bag that leaves them there... 99% of the time I'm loaning stuff out on the trail.
