looks like a nice set of wheels and tires to me only thing to worry about is the uneven wear part

ask how they are unevenly wore, if he's rotated regularly and kept them balanced then i would be careful.

Once a wear patern starts it will always wear abnormally no matter how many times you rotate and align them. The tire will not grow new rubber in the worn areas.

Other than the wear pattern, they have 90% left on them. If they are decently priced I would get them. They look like they would be great in the snow and off road. Plus the Teflon coated wheels, I'm a fan. Easy as lleh to clean!

I'd do it. Why not.

For trail tires you need at least a 2 to 1 tire height to rim ratio. ( more sidewall=better flex=more traction ) If they truly have 90% tread it would be an OK buy.
