Put on my steelies with some new 31x10.50-15 Cooper STT's. Cleaned up the wiring mess inside the cab, ordered a Rubicon Express 4" lift (2" just not enough for the tires) and got it buried in snow less than three hours after getting the new tires, had a great day!

I had to break into the XJ this morning, I was filling up at the gas station and i turned to put gas, and the wind closed the door
I looked and my keys were in there, I reach in my pocket, no phone, I look, its in the console
luckily i left the quarter window open, so I got a screw driver and started to disassemble it, i almost had it off, and i drop the screw driver in.
the gas station didnt have a long enough broom handle to reach the lock, or a hanger to reach the keys,
this lady in a jeep shows up and says to try her keys, i thought ok, so i did, and it didnt work, about 30 minutes of trying later, this other woman in a jeep shows up, i ask to use her keys, and BAM it opens.
weird

Drove up in the mountains to see if Moody Hill or Kelly Flats are open. They aren't. WTF USFS. I wanted to go wheelin tomorrow.
Drove over 100 miles on what seemed like <1/4 tank, but I think my eyes were messin with me because 40mpg in an XJ is impossible.
I did find a very muddy snowmelted FS road, had some fun and got the Jeep dirty.

BTW: 40mpg in an XJ is not impossible. I can get ~75mpg rolling downhill with a tailwind...

I went to adjust the transmission kick down cable and failed miserably. Broke off the plastic clip that holds the cable to the throttle body arm. Doe. I got it kinda back together with a few zip ties and the trans is shifting right again.
Then used it to move my trailer with my celica motor on it closer to my shed to start working on this weekends motor swap.

So a lil update on my mate who "blew" the turbo on his grand
He took it to the Jeep dealer ship round here and the said to him, "we can see it shut down on you and we know its because of low fuel presure, but it doesnt tell us why so we cant fix it, sorry"
And people wonder why no mechanic is aloud to touch my Jeep lol

The Eastwood Rust Convertor from dad arrive UPS today. Mixed it up and slathered it in the hole under the left side doors. Going to let it dry tomorrow and start fitting the replacement panel after work.
