So living in the city I don't see much trails unless I drive a few hours, so just now on way home from work, went to post office automated machine came out and due to lack of girlfriend in car and no cars around (and it being 230 am) I found the love that you guys find climbing 60 degrees on snow. No I don't have pics today, was a spur of the moment thing but tomorrow night omw home from work I'm going to do it again and take pics. Just hoping snow don't melt to much. I gotta say climbing is fun as hell

today I cranked it up and drove to work. Yesterday I did pretty much the exact opposite.
I woke up an hour early, made breakfast, lifted some weights, poured myself a huge cup of coffee, kissed my girlfriend as she left for work then attempted to crank my jeep.. it struggled a couple times then nothing.. dead.. I was going to be at work 30 minutes early too..
sat there for a few minutes then went to a neighbor to ask for a jump.. no answer
walked to my girlfriends moms house to ask her but turns out she has a battery charger. Picked up a sweet hawaiian shirt while I was there
charged the battery..didnt work.
decided to pull the starter. 9/16s wrench worked on the 14mm bolt but I couldnt get the 15mm bolt out so I found a neighbor with one. Got the starter out finally and found...

this. ****. before I took it apart I checked it with the charger and it spun very slowly and clunky. I called my brother (like I always do when I have vehicle problems) who knows more about working on cars than I do to ask him how fast it should be spinning. The convo went like this.
brother: "yo."
me: "hey im having a proble.."
brother: "you bought an american vehicle"
me: "well..yeah..but wait a sec"
The starter also sounded terrible so I was hoping I could take it apart and clean it up but that was a waste of time. The nice old lady who had the 15mm socket also drove me into town to get a new starter. I put it in and it cranks now like it has never cranked before. I bought it six months ago (apparently with a dying starter) and now it's like brand new jeep.
Then I had a beer and continued with my day off from work. This was the extremely short version of the story.

Put in an external trans cooler, then drained and refilled the aw-4 with dex/merc III. I wish I would have taken a picture of the fluid that came out of there compaired to the fluid that went in. Definitely due. Already can tell the engine and trans are thanking me. Running much smoother and cooler. Next step is a trans temp gauge for those towing and offroading days.

Give them time. My girls are 12 and 8. The 12yr old is not as interested in hunting as my 8yr old is but they like it. When they get a little older just take them. They'll find something about camping or hunting that they like. And I always try to make it fun for them.
Good times to come, Good times to come.
Good times to come, Good times to come.
That's my girl!!!
