Found out my transmission is leaking...and I have NO idea how to fix it.

My tranny was whining every time I was in second gear (way louder than normal).

I got underneath and it was leaking fluid. I was driving pretty high altitude today (about 8000msl, normally I'm around 5000msl). Could you help me figure out what's wrong with it? I can send you pictures as needed. It's a 5-speed manual tranny.

PS I've copied and pasted this a few times over the forum, I'm pretty desperate. PM me if you think you can help.

 

rear differential... removed the RuffStuff cover, cleaned everything up good and RTV it back on(super grey), put in Detroit recommended gear oil for truetrac.

I now have NO LEAKS!

cut and roll'd rear fenders.
kept up with the grinder and removed jagged metal from rock rails and rear bumper, sanded them, and repainted them.

vacuumed the entire interior (first time in over a year) sorted thru the glove box and removed 'junk'.
added ne floor matts with big ol' Betty Boop graphics up front... LOL!

heading to the car wash in a couple minutes.

 

I torched out the front axle and the bellhousing, then dropped the transmission after torching the crossmember, and I removed the front clip and radiator.

I'm thinking of driving up on it with the MJ later, before the scrap guy comes to pick it up!!!!!! w00t!

 

i installed my cb antenna, then put on my snowboard rack, and then played around in a small mud hole i found

 

I installed an 8 point buck on my roof-rack.

 

Diagnosed my coolant leak and planned for fix tomorrow - hardbrushed all the rusty areas to get ready for a protectant, and prepped to rip out the carpetting and make plans for replacing the rusty floorboards and rockers soon.

 

Thats an interesting mod right there.
Ive only been able to get them in the door...

taking a right on a red, dude infront of me looked like he was gonna go so i rolled forward while looking for traffic. he slammed on his brakes and i didnt see him hit the brakes so i rolled into him. some subaru outback and the driver was some asian guy that could barely speak english so he immediatly started yelling at me while i could barely understand him. he called the cops, 3 of them showed up, filled out a report form, gonna call insurance tomorrow.

little dent on the bumper and small dent on the end cap. so no damage at all for mine.



dented quarter panel, scuffed a little part on the top of the bumper, cracked the tailight on his car. found out my third brake light is out and my drivers side rear brake light is out too. cop pulled me over on the way home tonight after accident..haha. all the cops were cool about it though and the last one complimented me on my jeep.

As for me, I topped off my tranny fluid, just to find out it's still making this god-awful whine.

 

yeah man, i was surprised to see my jeep did that much damage. i play bumpers in traffic with my friends all the time and have never done anything like that.

 

My pops has an '01 ram (I think that's the year) 1500 with steel front and back bumpers.

I tap him, he gets behind me. He taps me. I squirt him (broken parts FTW!) with my broken back washer.

Yes, I like it broken.
