And yes, I found some rust under the front passenger side carpet. It appears to be surface only at this point but I will know once I take to sanding it off. I know those are suspected areas of rust, but I was hoping that being from Texas, it wouldn't have any rust. I'm a little disappointed but I can fix it. I just need to decide how I'm going to repair: sand, naval jelly, clean, fill any pock marks, etch, prime for sure. But what after? Factory color paint? Bedliner? POR15?
Moist TX air is often accompanied by salt if you are within 150 miles of the Gulf but ymmv.
I would go with Raptor liner or the likes. UV resistance is likely not an issue down there so buy accordingly.
~360,430 miles:
The HVAC blower motor went Tango Uniform so we are on our way to pick that up as well as some A/C line tools and an O-ring kit.
We have 12 volts at the blower motor plug leads. Pulled the blower out as far as I could and it spins freely.
I have a few types of weather stripping to put on the new one. Not sure exactly what's up until we get it fully removed and can inspect the cavity for the fan cage.
Random find while researching: The $420.00 RHD fan cages are a slightly larger diameter.
Onward!!
Bonus: Was able to move the accumulator out of the way without discharging the system.
As par the OEM plastic relay mount is pretty melted so we will be going in and will be upgrading that with a new, ceramic receptical, pigtail and relay.
Wires, pliers, solder and heatshrink. Isotip to the rescue.
360k scheduled maintenence is next. yeehaw

I remember doing the blower motor on mine. Instructions said the AC had to be discharged and the accumulator removed. I was able to wiggle the old motor out and new one in without removing anything. It was snug, but it worked.

There is usually a difference in the FSM way and the piece pay/back yard mechanic way.

I was prepared for either direction. Seal kit and all the rest. Just nice that it all moved/rotated 90° after 22y.
Now I wait on the ceramics to arrive....

Purchased a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo on Wednesday. Rear brakes clacking and locking, so while waiting for parts - bought bulbs and just started getting it ready for inspection. Found out the factory off-road lights work, but need some lenses. In between just spent some time laying underneath and looking around. Underside is perfect. Sat inside a bit just running Qtips around the cracks cleaning. Later as the sun settled a bit, pulled her outside into the shade and pulled the back wheels and broke the rear drum brakes down. Leaking rear wheel cylinders but rather than another parts run today - decided to take an hour per side just brushing/wire wheeling rust off the rear brake plates and making it all shine. Very satisfying day with the Jeep.
Should have her ready for Texas inspection by Monday.
Replaced the injectors and solder-spliced new EV6 connectors to troubleshoot a cylinder 5 misfire. Found wiring to injector 1 was pinched and frayed, injector 2 was cracked and all ports were dirty. May have been the original Deka injectors with Chrysler stamps.
Well this weekend my buddy helped me put my new motor in, today put on all the front accessories (Alternator, Pullies, Power Steering Pump etc..), got the injectors installed etc.. Almost done!!!!!!

I was able to diagnose my AC problems using a paper clip...try that on a Tesla!
Teslas are crap! If It breaks you have to go to a Tesla dealership and empty your bank account to repair it lol! I'll stick to my XJ till the day I die! Glad to hear you figured out your AC issue!
Did you see the video where the guy blew up his tesla with many pounds of dynamite rather than pay the price demanded for a battery repair? Seemed reasonable to me.

Like the FleetRunner belt. What's that spacer under the rocker cover?
Got the drum brakes back together today. All new pads and hardware. Almost replaced the cylinders - just because - but the brake lines wanted to spin so decided to focus on getting my inspection sticker.
Even though the Jeep STOPS much better, the real bad "creaking and popping" at slow speeds still happening and the "anti-lock brakes" light is on. Will Search and try to get advice on next steps.

I installed harland sharp rockers and this was necessary to clear the valve cover. I could of cut out the baffle but didn't want to do that as it's their for a reason.
