QUOTE=Sillea;3613514]just some rustoleum white primer and then a silver plastic paint.
I did the gas cap in the metallic orange too
gonna do some touches of orange here and there.
I’ll post the pics of it all back together this after noon. I busted one of the plastics on the gear lever bezel so I glued it last night but I’m waiting for it to harden.
I drilled the light bulb holes out on the backsides to fit led bulbs too[/QUOTE]
I dremeled ours out for same thing.. wow is it BRIGHT!!
I respect your opinion. I will just say this since all I have is my experience to go on.
I have used them for sand dunes, dust and mud for nearly 40 years.
Not one failed engine as of yet. To each their own.
here’s the finished product at night with my new leds
really made a huge difference to my interior!
highly recommend doing this if you have a day at home with the lock down and a spare 20 dollar bill for paint cans

Welcome to the Forum. Those LED's are very nice. I'm considering them.
ah thanks man. They’re just the cheap pack from amazon. They’re great you just gotta make the holes a bit larger on the plastic part that holds the bulb. Hope that makes sense lol
I never really understood the LED's for the cluster, shifter bezel, etc.
I don't drive at night a lot but I don't ever recall wishing they were brighter.
And as far as colors go I am not that guy.
Hell never catch me painting a diff or valve cover red.
I was not happy when the new 4 hole injectors I bought were orange. LOL.
When I did the Viper Coil mod I wanted 8 mm spark plug wires.
One of the reasons I bought the Taylor's was cause they were black.
Now the interior lights? LED's all the way.
That makes me a little nervous regarding eye relief while driving at night. Are they a distraction or anything?
I wouldn’t say so. I mean maybe the 4x selector is a bit bright but the gear selector it’s self isn’t bad at all. It has a blue piece of plastic in between the indicator and the light bulb so it dims it quite a bit where as the 4x indicator does not so it’s quite a bit brighter. I might throw in a piece of blue plastic to make them match.

theyre not really brighter, and you can adjust how bright they are with the headlight **** if they’re too bright for your standards.
color is for enjoying life. Black and white is great and all but why not throw a bit of pizazz into life? Lol
Aren’t jeeps all about customization? I think ya might have the wrong brand mate. No but all joking aside. The blue dash lights are easier on my eyes than the stock yellow white color. It’s easier to read the dials for me anyway.
My Billstein 5100's and the RC 1071 LCA's came in the mail yesterday.
I'll try to get a pic of these shocks before they go in as they are really striking.
I also decided to make the Sunday Drive a weekly thing as long as I have the time off. Taking time to appreciate all that I have accomplished is important. She was barely running when I adopted her in 2016. Now, people always want to talk to me at the gas station.
