Installed new front bumper! Much better than the tangled mess that the PO left me.

One more thing off of my XJ to do list.

Washed the 99 and cleaned all the salt off underneath the body. Looks good now that there isnt a layer of road salt and muddy ice.

U Peep
The Peep took a new universal up the tail of the rear drive shaft, was Precision#369, ran 51000 km, really pooched, probably my pinion to trans angle, going with Delco 45U0107 this time (yes I lube regular), also two new D30 front axle universals, moderately pooched after 165000 km, (the bearing hubs are still going smooth and strong) was Spicer 260's, put in Delco 45U0125, no complaints on the Spicer parts here, just Delco is what my supplier had in stock. With the Delco the front axle universals are made in USA and the rear driveshaft uni is made in china. Had to put it in, I mean really really pooched. I consider the uni's a consumable, will still lube all points regularly. Rolled over 481000km and pullin strong into the new year.

Went to start it this morning and I got a honorable belt screech. I shut it off almost instantly. Popped the hood and took a look. I started it with my auto start and could see the lower idler pulley not turning. Well that sucks I just dropped $160 for a new radiator and don't have any spare cash for the pulley so it looks like it will be sitting until the new year. Its going to be a cold motorcycle ride to see the family tomorrow.
