Hmm.... Nearly flipped it..... like seriously.... my clutch leg is still shaking... i swear if my buddies phone would have vibrated we would have tipped....

story goes.....

went up a trail this morning since we have really nice weather and no class till 1:30! and our homework is done so we are going UP this trail and i put my drivers front tire on a decent sized rock and am almost over it when my passenger rear tire slips off the rock it was on.... front tire stayed on the rock rear tire sank, you could feel that it was just wanting to tip like i opened my door in hopes to give a little more counter balance.... I actually was thinking about calling a buddy to come help me.... it was RIGHT at the breaking point and it was scary as heck! i have not been that scared in a LONG time....AH!!! but then i managed to throw it in reverse and SLOWLY back down enough to balance us out... it was kinda cooling being able to see the ground via the passenger s ide window tho!!!

jeep was running like a$$ all day, been meaning to tune it up, havent had the money. pulled my plugs and they were all about .048 or over, rotor and cap are shot. #4 plug was a little oily (need to get a comp tester). so i just sandpapered, cleaned and regapped, crossed fingers and its' running "better" but it still feels like im not firing on all cylinders. just gotta nurse it till payday

driveway alignment, drove it.
Shut it off and aired up the tires, when I turned it back on it was running at 3000rpm idle
Chirped the tires coming out of the parking lot. Im sure 3000rpm into reverse wasnt good for the transmission.

Keep in mind though that they really won't increase power. Maybe a little better pick up but that's all.

POSTED SOME PIC TODAY AND FOR ANYONE IN PHOENIX THERE IS A LIST OF SALVAGE YARDS ON MY PAGE (ALL 4x4 OR JEEP YARDS). GETTING READY TO REPLACE MY RADIATOR AND CHANGE OUT MY TRANS FILTER. BUT BEFORE THE TRANS FILTER I HAVE TO FIX MY FRONT PIPE TRIED TO PULL IT OFF YESTERDAY AND SOMEONE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE OK TO PUT A CRAPPY NUT ON THE BOLT HOLDING THE FRONT PIPE ON. TRIED TO REMOVE AND IT WAS SO SOFT, I STRIPPED ALL 5 CORNERS.

Default replaced cooling system

I replaced my radiator with one from an older jeep. The guy rolled his, but a few weeks before he replaced his radiator, t-stat, and water pump. Well I got the radiator only to find out that the newer XJ transcooler fittings are different than those of the older XJ's. So I went and found those at a near by radiator place. Put the radiator in and a lower temp t-stat. Drives and shifts so much better. Now I can run the AC full blast without it overheating.

The joy of the little things.
