Tried to identify this odd thumping noise I get sometimes, tighten up all the bolts on the driveline and it still moves around a bit...I think it's time for some new engine and tranny mounts. Greased the front end while I was under there. Then fixed a few vacuum leaks in the engine bay. Starts a lot better now, got a question though. I have a blue vacuum tube going from the passenger side engine bay all the way down and into the transfer case that doesn't go anywhere on the engine bay side and just slides easily out of the transfer case.(if that makes sense) it's got a ford emblem stamped into it so I'm thinking it was added by the previous owner. It doesn't appear to be connected in any way other than by sliding it into the transfer case port. I'll get some photos tomorrow and post them in my thread. If you have any ideas please pm me. Thanks.

Had a cylinder misfire as of last Saturday night. Figured it was the plugs, took them out and inspected. They all looked up to spec as they were changed 3-4 months ago. I moved the plugs around with the intention the fault would follow to another cyclinder but nothing.
Next I had already purchased new 4 hole injectors and figured it must be them so I decided to put them on instead of the allotted weekend I had set. Of course this did not fix the problem!
After that I was sure I had narrowed it down, it must be the damn cool pack! Bought a new one from rock auto that arrived today and bolted it up, still the same issue.
Now I'm 99% sure it's the valve sticking. After all that now I hear the ticking when it warms up. If only I heard it sooner in the week. I believe the negative wind chill factor had an affect on my hearing while I installed the new parts haha.
Hopefully I can remedy this tomorrow after work and fix the stuck valve.

Pretty easy.
Get a cup of water, preferably something like a 24 to 32 oz. cup.
With the air cleaner off, hold the engine RPM at 2000 RPM or higher and dribble the water from the cup, which you've pinched to look like a spout on top, into the carb or throttle body. Go slowly and the engine will bog a bit. Stop and let it recover. Repeat until the cup is empty.

New to the Jeep Forum. But not new to owning a Jeep. Won't own anything else as far as I am concerned.
My daily routine is to leave every car in my dust. Porsches, Ferrari's, Corvettes have all lost. Although, they don't know I am gonna kill it off the line.
Its my fun for the day.
