Popped the power steering pump on the way home
It let go with no warning, other than I smelt something just before I turned in to the gas station to buy gas. When I turn the wheel all hell broke loose. My first thought was the motor let go, so I pulled to the side and shut down. Once I popped the hood I knew what happened.
I was still 9 miles from home, but thank god for my CAA Gold membership. Had it flat bedded to my driveway for free less than 40 minutes after it let loose
Now I have to borrow a car to get to work tomorrow and head to the JY on Tuesday. With a bit of luck I can have it installed before I have to go back to work on Wednesday morning..

Finished installing my end links and steering damper... Found a pitman arm puller I forgot I had and put the squeeze on it and it all blew apart on the second hammer blow.
Coolant is turning brown again so I picked up some cooling system flush and antifreeze so I can begin flushing my system. Also gave it a long-needed bath while I was out and upgraded my fender flags... The three-inchers just weren't getting it done.
From now on I am referring to anything windshield washer-related as "squirts"

Checked all fluids, added 1/3 L oil, some windshield squirts.
Did the Cruiser ground refesh on drivers fender, ground screw just ahead of the squirt reservoir, and added a new ground screw on passenger side and tied in the blower motor ground wire to that one. Volt meter reading strong. We're good to go.

Installed OME lift- Great Success!
After much deliberation, I went ahead and ordered the OME lift from Quadratec for my 1996 XJ, as well as a JKS track bar, OME stabilizer, and additional 3/4" Spacers.
It took me 1.5 days- All day Saturday with a buddy and beer time, plus 1/2 day Sunday by myself.
Had to cut notches in front leaf bushing housing thingy- Air chiseled one welded factory nut off, and had to cut most of the other shackle bolts/sleeves/bushings out. Lots of heat, PB blaster and muscle did the job.
Front went really smooth, and netted about 2.25" of lift with the OME 930 coils and 10mm OME spacers + .75" spacers.
Rear CS033RB OME leaf springs netted about 4.25"....hopefully will settle to 3".
All said and done I have a smile, and my wife thinks it looks goofy- Success!
Now for some Extended brake lines from Quadratec that I haven't installed yet, and either shims or T-case drop kit to eliminte the drive line vibes, and I'll be a happy camper.
Next thing is a locker for the rear. If I can convince he wife..heh heh

I was given a 2000 watt boss amp and it couldn't even put out what my 300 watt Rockford fosgate amp put out without going into protect mode. And my friend had a 2000 watt 12" boss sub in a ported box and it was nothing compared to my alpine type r 12 in a sealed box only getting like 400 watts probably.

Well....
this made me lol
First off let me say, I am not a car audio guy. However, Crutchfield is well known in the world of electronics. I have personally dealt with them during my 25 year career in aerospace, so it isn't just car audio they do. They know their ****, and are extremely helpful. So if you think a high price is too much to deal with, fine, but when you have issues buying anywhere else, see what you get. Crutchfield has personally helped me many times, even when I DIDN'T buy from them.
Worth every penny in my opinion.

This.... and Amazon
Wish I had gone with the OME lift, but at the time I was just trying to fix a sagging rear end, without messing with the front, than the budget lift came later. If I some day end up with a WK2, I'm glad to see they have a lift that fits it.

You've heard?
The website is free to view, and they'll send you a catalog if you ask.
They're usually within 10% of the best price I can find, and it's normal for them to be within 5%. Their prices usually include free installation parts, and they provide detailed instructions. They have the best customer service I've ever dealt with, from any company in any field. They've even helped me troubleshoot problems with products I bought from other vendors.
I'm always willing to spend more to support them.
