Well... I guess I'll be buying a couple new wheels and then later on getting a new set of tires. Oh well.

Still have DW, but it's not as bad.

In other news... never had this happen before:

Sheared right off when I was removing one of the LCA bolts off the parts jeep. I've grenaded ratchets before... well... just one. My old (USA made) Craftsman. But it was the gear assembly that fell apart in my hand, not the shaft shearing off!
That look like some cheap made in China crap tool .....

Think I paid 70 for a pair of these. And I'm very happy with them. I could of easily paid 160 for some name brand ones.

Yea so far they are holding up well and I'll see how long they last but for 20 it doesn't really matter as long as they do what they are supposed to do. .

Installed my synergy swaybar relocator brackets so that I can go over-the-knuckle, will try to wrap it up tomorrow

Also finished my flat tow wiring, so now I can get dragged off the trail and back to the house if something breaks that can't be fixed on-site

Also got a huge duffle bag for holding the tow bar, spare axle and drive shafts, etc., $40 from
Amazon Amazon
for the Giant 48x20 bag

More tomorrow

As long as the catastrophic failure doesn't preclude one of your tires from rolling

I spent the morning stripping the interior from a 2003 WJ so I can use seats in my XJ. Will get to stripping the entire drive train this week. I also managed to get a couple crappy pics of my XJ. Otherwise, I have been admiring many of the communities rigs, and projects.

Did you use front and rear or just front seats? Will the WJ center console fit up front with little massaging? I'm planning front and rear with WJ modified brackets to retain full 10way power and the wire the heating.

I think the WJ console lid is direct bolt on the newer style of XJ center console

Started to remove my worn, leaking steering damper on the '96 but the stud that goes through the drag link is seized up (expected this), so I soaked t down with blaster and moved on to installing my sway bar end links before running out of daylight. I didn't care for the setup that came with the lift so I found a Pro Comp kit that looked better and more thought-out. In the morning I'll find my giant clamp and bring the pain on that damper stud and finish it up.

I didn't use the center council but I did use the heat and lumbar because they are in the seat not the tracks. Trying to use the wj track in the xj would have been a nightmare. Don't get me wrong it has been and can be done but making it look factory would be difficult. So I swapped the xj tracks on to the wj seats and keept the wj side plastics for the power switchs. The xj and wj side plastics are identical with the exception of power or non power.
