Yeah, I'm planning on either that or painting them the same desert tan as the jeep will eventually be. Don't know yet, still lots of decisions to make. Thanks for the tip!

Broke an "easy-out" in the rear frame when I replaced my bumpstops. After breaking off several drill bits, I ended up using a cobalt grinding point to grind it away.

I spent the weekend installing a new exhaust from the up pipe to the tail pipe. All in for about $300. I have never done anything like this before, but the help here over the last year gave me the confidence to try it.

A really minor thing, but I struck gold at the junkyard this morning with an original rear hatch glass with factory tint and defrost, the last piece I needed to finish my "how not to window tint" chapter. That's one more little project I can move off the books before the big one.

Wasn't really even in the mood to go, either, but I was on that side of the county. Didn't even carry any tools into the yard.

If you can get to the back of the extractor, you can just knock it out with a small punch.

lol... My soundbar is waiting to go in. Sadly, the sunroof will probably never be a reality.

Unfortunately, I tried to crack the extractor from the face and knocked it in a bit, so when I tried that, it was already wedged too tightly.

if the bottom of the housing got a flat lip, it's a 8.25. If the housing is oval, it's a d35

Dropped the 01 off this morning to have the windshield replaced. $191 and about 1.5 hours later and she's good to go!

Cracked from bottom of windshield about 6 inches up and half way across dead center of the driver! Just my luck!!

Now to get it inspected, change the oil, flush the cooling system and rotate the tires and I should (fingers crossed) be ready for the winter months!

Also, if you have ABS, it's a Dana 35. If you don't have ABS, it's most likely a Chryco 8.25 but could still be a Dana 35.
