What did you do to your Cherokee today?
Had to look it up because I lived in Olean for a time. That jeep is being sold by supreme auto parts. The guy that runs that, Joe, is by far the most shady auto dealer I've ever met. To many horror stories. He has cops there investigating things almost weekly, if that means anything.

Took my NP242-WJ transfer case shell to the local trans shop and put it in their wash cabinet. Gonna start building a full 242-HD as I collect parts.

Finish replacing all my u joints. Did PS axle and front driveshaft today. I have had the parts to do the work for a few months now just no time to do the work.
Still hunting for the cause of the creaking noise at full lock. It is worse at the end of the RH lock. I can not see any play or movement in the track bar, nor any cracks it the frame near the steering box and track bar mount. The sound seems to be coming from the DS knuckle so I am thinking it is either the lower ball joint, greasing the upper made no difference, or there is a crack hiding where I can not see it
Next weekend I am going to start pulling the PS box and track bar mount to see if I can find a crack. If I still don't find anything it is new ball joints all around.

Took mine out on sunday and played for a little bit. Got her a little dirty.

Couldn't stretch her legs too much 'cause I need to hammer down the pinch seam up front... getting tired of slicing my tires.

So yesterday evening on the way home from work, I cleaned her up a little bit at the carwash - just realized I don't have a pic of it though.

Replaced the cross pin in Aussie Locker. Locker was randomly unlocking while driving straight. Cora at Aussie Locker reviewed the issue and looked at pictures I supplied, suggested I try another crosspin. XJWonders mailed me one and locker seems to be functioning normally! Picture of old pin. Gear oil was one month old, so I reused it.
Also touched up the wheels, metallic black.
