solved the creaking issue I have been having near and at full lock, worse to the right. I was getting ready to drop the steering box and look for cracks, but when I was degreasing the steering box I decided to try backing off the adjustment screw 1/8 turn. Low and behold no more noise and the wheel feels the same as it did on the driveway test.
We are having a bit of a thunder storm right now but once it passes I am going for a road test to make sure everything feels right.
I remember Pete's box of randomness he sent me. I sent him one back taped real well lol. I'm sure Neal liked how I packaged the springs..my wife made the box lol

Lol I forgot how you wrapped it up. :/
I usually buy gift cards, wrap them in several layers of stuff, put in boxes in corresponding size and order and it usually end up in one of those moving boxes. 18x18x18. Lol. The smaller boxes usually get duct taped really tight
Same here. But then I went and used garage talk app and clicked on the picture it automatically redirected me to photobucket link on Internet and the video work there
Got my Iron Rock SYE installed finally. Also put in my new water pump just to find that it was leaking through the weep hole after I got it installed and took it for a test drive. Someone at Advance better be ready for a return
A few years back I installed a pump on a Chevy I had and found out it had been dropped on its snout. Fan had a good three to four inch wobble. Love doing stuff twice.
Gonna get lots of hate for this, but here we go. 5% all the way round minus front windows which are 35%. (Max legal in CA). Rust-Oleum lens tint on the tails. Initially thought I went too dark but the complete black look is growing on me a bit. Also it doesn't hurt the visibility of the lights at all:
Also fixed my broken dash kit and soldered the adapter harness and head pigtail together because the connectors were loose and I was sick of pulling the dash and fixing them just to hear all four of my kickers. Solid now. Stuffed dash with clean rags to support the dash plate and radio because the XJ's diagonally opposed 2 screw mount is terrible and I've broken about 5 dash plates from the radio bouncing around. Need to nut up and just do the double din conversion already...
Replaced my old worn out liftgate struts. This one was my favorite. Such a vast improvement
Sea foamed 1/3 can through booster vacuum line and the rest in the tank. Got a nice smoke show and I get a lot quicker response from idle now and a slightly noticeable amount of extra pull in my seat.
Bought 6x Champion copper truck plugs, NAPA wires, cap, rotor, all with brass contacts. I heard rumors that Sea Foam fouls plugs so I'm gonna play it safe and leave my crappy Bosch platinums in there until I run through this tank of gas. Got 5 quarts of Pennzoil and the wrench-off K&N oil filter to accompany it. As soon as I run through the sea foam tank I'm changing the oil, who knows how much crap broke free.
Not noticing blowby, but I am noticing oil seeping from where the breather tube goes into the valve cover. Gonna check that out tomorrow, probably change the valve cover gasket, and verify that all the lifters are torqued to 19 ft/lb. The sea foam seemed to get rid of an annoying lifter tick as well. This thing is long overdue for a tune up.
And that was my Tuesday. Lol
