I dont know it was pretty nice being doated on by the ladies .
Can't argue with that, lol, though I certainly wasn't looking my sexiest. You know you're in rough shape when a young nurse walks in, sees you, and starts crying...

Somewhat, I can feel most of the top of my head nowadays, just diminished. Nerves are cross wired a bit though, if I touch the end of the scar near my left temple I feel it on the back of my head.
As for the ride? Lol, they tell me it was wild. I have no memory of it, or a lot of other thing prior to the wreck. Short term suffered afterwards, lived on post-it notes for about a year. Had a small dry erase board glued to my dash, so I wouldn't forget where the hell I was driving to. LOL.
Thankfully I'm pretty much back to normal at this point, with the exception of my back. Still do my superman workout daily, lay on my stomache and lift my arms and legs alternately, keeps the muscles around my spine built up.
Been in a lot of wrecks, but that one was a doozy. Was young enough to bounce back at the time, doubt I'd live through another one like that again.

Ouch. Yea that wouldn't be good. Glad your recovery went good. The memory loss had to have been frustrating I have a bunch of stretches and flexes to do to get my muscles back in working order.
Lol, glutton for punishment? I wasn't driving, girl behind the wheel fell asleep. This is a big part of why I won't ride passenger with anyone, ever. I've wrecked everything from trucks, performance cars, motorcycles & SUVs, to go carts & innumerable shop-related accidents. The only one that nearly got my number, somebody else was at the helm. Flew back from Vegas, even though the stewardess was kind enough to get me hammered, was still clawing at the armrests. I've accepted the fact that I make a terrible passenger.
Installed the transfer case lowering bars, and still had a noise from the rear. Doh! rear sway bar now removed Sadly ran out of time, and was not able to put in the front coil spacers today.

Damn, how big are those spacers you're installing? Looks like you need new coils.
3 hours total working time. From jacking up to lowering. Not too bad, I also took my time...worst part is torquing all the bolts, need to criss-cross pattern several times...
Well I want to make a full set of half doors and these are cut too low for me. They were great for seeing rocks and such yesterday but I just want all 4 doors. Trying to sell them and find a bargain on all 4
Seafoamed, Changed oil, topped up fluids, cleaned engine bay a bit.
This is my new to me '99 XJ. The original owner didnt drive it much, and did just basic maintenance. Hasn't gone many miles, but the dirt still added up.
Tomorrow is axle seals, axle u-joints and diff fluids.
Not as much seafoam smoke as I thought I'd have
Before pic
Showing the difference under the hood. This may help disperse some of that heat!
Replaced my worn motor mounts which apparently allowed my engine to nose-dive during braking, shoving the teeth on the front of the fan clutch into my new all-aluminum radiator... Had no idea they would allow movement like that.
Lesson learned... I'm just glad it was a cheap rad.
Yes folks, that's a 1/4" drive socket extension. Picked it up in the parking lot at work. Sweet Jeebuz. LOL
One of the older tire shops here in town has a "wall of fame" for unique punctures... Everything from small tree limbs to the steel tip from a field cultivator... My personal best was a framing nail that went in head-first... The pointy bit was sticking out of the tread.
On the plus side, you won a free socket extension!

Boooo. If you were in MI I'd be so down to take those off your hands haha
