We finally finished the repairs to my buddy's jeep. It had camaro struts on it. Was sitting at about 10 inches if lift. We lowered it to 4.5. It also had some ****ed up steering that we changed to 3/4 heims steering.

It's the oe housing and amber bulb for now. I just cut a little section out of the grill and made them fit. I'm looking into some aftermarket leds. Not complicated at all I went for simple and clean as possible... the headlight bezels don't fit perfect and I have to cut the very bottom section off to make it look decent... more pics in about an hour or so

Yeah on their own switch, fused, relayed... 2 weeks I'm ordering a bussman relay panel and gonna rewire everything the really right way and extra clean looking... one 2g or 4g from the battery to the relay box and 2 strands of 7 wire trailer wire into the cab and then to my custom made switch panel. I currently have a crazy octopus of wires from installing everything at different times and it makes my ocd crazy

Started installing 3" RC lift kit. Only got to do rear (leafs and shocks) since it was Easter and had other obligations. Also installed D windows and 31x10.5's. Was previously sitting stock on worn out leafs and 235/75's. Need to get front done since I have some major rubbing up front with the 31's which I expected. Couldn't help myself from putting then on to see how it looked.

Went to drop the shackles so I could measure for the DIY shackle relocation brackets, but broke my 1/2 to 3/8 drive adapter on its first use Didn't even get any real torque on it before it snapped, good thing it has a life time warranty on it. It was an impact wrench rated adapter so it must have had a flaw in it.

Since I didn't have the right size socket in 1/2" drive I removed the rear anti sway bar instead. Maybe it is just my imagination, but just removing the bar seems to have freed up the rear suspension and improved the ride a bit.

Had about an hour trip today for Easter dinner. Mostly back road stop and go driving and about 15 mins of bumper to bumper traffic. Here's a couple pics of the temp gauge. Prior to install, the XJ normally ran one width of the temp needle to the right of the 210 mark. Pic 1 is about 40 mins into the trip and the 2nd pic is when we arrived. (same results coming home). Significant drop in engine temp. My 1st impression of the new components is good.
