The only reason I ask, is that when it comes time to replace my 90-amp factory one, I plan on using a 1XX-amp one from a 97-up XJ.
This one is a 136 from a ZJ. That piece faces a different direction than the XJ alts, so you have to remove it and either cut the little nub and put it back facing right direction, or transplant the one from your XJ alt. I already have the right one, so I don't need to mod this one. Would rather it wasn't broken but as long as the rest works idc.

Couldn't decide whether to work on the Jeep or watch the Backdoor shootout. So I brought my project inside to do both

Drove it to work enjoying the drone of mud tires and straight pipe exhaust.

Since it finally warmed up, I was able to shovel out a place and uncouple my new little flat trailer from my XJ. However, an opportunity to upgrade presented itself...

Properly adjusted my serpentine belt using a KK2 belt tension gauge, no more chirping now apparently my calibrated thumb needs to be re-calibrated because I wasn't even making the scale on the gauge the belt is now set to about 150ft/lbs. An added benefit is more heat, but that just could be that it is a lot warmer outside today than it was last night

pulled my front skid to fix the leak from the tranny lines. cut em to put in a b&m cooler. threw another hose clamp on, hopefully that does the trick. also shipped out some Jeep parts.

Had the shop replace my D30 pinion seal (leak) and the four bearings (noise). Diff still whines in 4WD. Underbody will probably rust up now that it isn't getting gear oil mist treatment.
