I placed the order last night for a 3" OME kit, full leafs and springs, OME steering Stabilizer, OME Tcase drop, and some Adj LCAs from RC. Also, a set of 31x10.50 BFG KOs.

I stared at the shackle relocation brackets in my garage. Hopefully they will go on this weekend!

Also replaced my rear main seal and oil pan gasket. While doing that I decided to do a grease job and take my steering and track bar off to paint it nice and shiny again.
Filled the motor back up with rotella 5w-40 and a Napa gold oil filter. Jeep definitely runs better on cold(ish) starts. I say ish because it only gets to about 30°f here lol

when my '93 XJ did that key off ignition skip..
the culprit was the MAP, or manifold absolute pressure sensor.
it's in front of the driver on firewall, has a vac tube to intake
.. another clue....
it will run fine for about 30-45 minutes then shut down

the Delco sensor at Advance was sixty bucks....worth it

First order of the day was Brown Dog engine mounts.

Forgot to order through bolts with it. I just called them up after normal business hours and got it taken care of quickly and easily.

Never ran a Fram, Just STP, Purolator or NAPA (Wix). I change my oil at 3k, not 5k and don't use Synthetic.

Thanks for the input, I'll keep that in mind. Sounds like my symptoms. I do have a spare oem MAP sensor ready to go on if it happens again, but i might have found the culprit- broken/ poorly repaired and then hidden ground wire attached at dipstick. Hasn't stalled out yet since that fix. Although of course now I have an injector code that is new. Its always something

If I ever meet the guy who made the decision to go with E torx bolts on the tranny I'm gonna kick him in the nuts. Apparently the wrenches for that are made outta gold or platinum or depleted uranium because I wasn't able to source it locally (San Antonio). Why did they pick that and is it against the rules to replace with hex head bolts?

New rad cap and completed the heater core bypass.

At first, I was going to loop my lower 5/8 hose to my top 11/16 starting point, but I felt there was too much restriction on the flow. It wasn't kinked, but it was close. So I bought a heater hose adapter at Autozone for $3 and it hooked right up to both ends no problem. Ran it up to op temp and not a drop spilled. Now I am good to go until the spring, when I will replace the entire cooling system.

I bought a set at advance auto for about $20.

Rules? What rules....it's your rig.
3/8"-16 x 2" IIRC.

I think most people who have pulled the transmission would be willing to hold the person that made the decision while you hit him. I got a fairly cheap ($15) set of e-torx/torx sockets from Princess Auto. It looks similar to the set offered by Harbor Freight for the same price. Sure they are cheap tools and probably wont last the test of time, and you will have to wait for then to be shipped, but they will do the job and since you are going to replace the e torx bolts you will never have to worry about it again.
