What did you do to your Cherokee today?
Adjusted my rear brakes and fixed a bad ground for my front windshield pump. Noticed the left front axle shaft seal is starting to leak, looks like I'll tackle that project in the spring as its to damn cold around here.

Picked up my intake/exhaust manifold gasket and get to brave the cold to put things back together tomorrow. It is that or wait till it is warmer and raining on Saturday

Went and finally picked up my Mopar t-stat and CPS from my parts guy. Now just need to get my ceramic coated stainless steel header, and off to the races again! LOL

Looking through some old photos. Not quite to the day (was the 16th), but 10 years ago, I hit the first 100,000 miles. Unfortunately my 100000 shots didn't come out, so I just have the 099999.

Started re-installing the exhaust and intake manifolds, it is going much easier than I thought it would. Mind you I only have the two outer nuts and top bolts on finger tight. The fun part will be getting the bottom bolts in and the torque wrench on everything
Still they were calling for cold and windy today and it is working out that I am in the sun and the bit of wind is blocked by the big hedge and the house.
Just came in to get another coffee and relax for 15 before starting the troublesome part
I should be done, other than the down pipe to manifold, still need the ring gasket, by 1 this afternoon. Leaving me lots of time to do other things, like make sure it still runs

And done installing the manifolds, all tools picked up and put away, and hands cleaned. Took me 1.5 hours longer to do than I guessed, but I was interrupted and taken of the job at hand for 30-45 minutes.
All that is left to do is reconnect to the rest of the exhaust once I get the ring gasket and fire it up to see how it sounds.
Tuesday will be TCM day and if that goes smoothly I will just have to mount the factory bumper and book an appointment for a safety check and alignment
There are still plenty of things I would like to do to it, but they will have to wait for nicer weather.

Had to reuse the old buttons because the new ones didn't fit quite right.
Attachment 259095
It works better now. I think because the battery contacts got bent back into shape when I switched them over.
Got a 1989 with no remote.
seems like I should be able to build one - if I had a schematic OR a good picture of both sides of the inside board :-D
Any Info to help?

If not, look at this write-up on how to make the locks work better.
I've done this on 2 XJs with great success.
That said, I would love to add a keyless entry kit.
