i would love to if i had some more.. most of the ones i have are old and it looks nothing like it did when i first got it! ahaha..

this is basically it besides the tailgate/stack. lift kit cobbled together.. 8.25 welded, 33s...

Managed to almost get the transmission back in, but it got too dark and too cold to continue I will get back at it tomorrow and maybe start the brakes.

I approve. So that stack is behind a stock gas motor?

yes sir. haha i just did it because.. why not. the 4.0 in it is so noisy im suprised it hasnt blown up yet.. and it has been through hell and back.

Do your thing, man. We used to have a guy on here with a tractor stack next to his front fender and flip-down beer holders on both sides of his Jeep. He caught a lot of flak for it, but he had several really nice, properly built cars. The Cherokee was a toy

Okay. Well heater core is pretty simple actually. Its just a lot. And it can be made a lot easier if you take the steering wheel off so you can pull the whole dash dash out. I didn't do that though. Anytime

Got some more done on the stroker today. Weather was a lot nicer.

This is why you replace what you can, when you can...
Spark plugs are a bit carbon fouled. The bigger than .045 gap probably didn't help, LOL

I'm thinking a new coat of paint on the block is in order now. Wanna make it nice before it goes in. Now is the time, right? Another thing...was looking at the flywheel today, and it looked a bit chunky for my taste. nothing horrible, but...might as well replace it now while it's easily accessible, right? At $70 I think so. Got done almost everything I have parts for right now, excluding the valve cover. Rest of my parts should be in tomorrow, minus the dealer parts I need, and the hard trans lines I want to replace. But that will have to wait for next weekend, LOL....

I'm with ya on that. My hub bearings where fine, but I went ahead and replaced them when I did my ball joints... had to pull em anyways. Also did my brakes and wheel u joints. No sense in throwing used parts back in when they are relatively cheap to replace

For sure. Probably could have just dropped it in and been fine for a while...but why risk it? Too much greenbacks dropped into this to skimp now. Do it while ya can. Easier and better security knowing it was done right, not right now...

If you understand how the heater control valve works.............(and there is a reason why they named it "Heater Control Valve") It stops the flow of hot coolant to the heater.............
Yes it does work that way.
I personally like the fact that it shuts off the flow to inside the cab........
And it gets hot here in Denver too..............We top 100 degrees regularly....I know it doesn't get as hot as Phoenix (I lived there for 10 years) but we are closer to the sun up here, and I want my A/C to have all the help it can get.............It's one of my DD's. If it were just a trail rig, I would start eliminating a bunch of things on it..............


I don't consider it a liability at all..............If one were to lift the hood and have a look under there on a regular basis, and inspect things properly, they might not run into these kinds of issues.........


I know they completely changed the HVAC controls for '97-up, when they eliminated the heater control valve..............I have no idea, but perhaps they made some changes inside the airbox at the same time to better isolate the heater core?


But it's your own vehicle........If one chooses to eliminate the hater control valve to lose a failure point, then certainly they have the right to............Just like they have the right to an opinion............
